Double box and don’t skimp on packing materials. Don’t forget to insure it as well. 

I’ve shipped two Omni VII’s and an Orion II. None were damaged by the shipper. 

The last shipment was one of the Omni’s about 6 weeks ago.  Cost me close $100, fair bit more than I had planned but it was money well spent. 

My shipper of choice is UPS.  But as previously stated, none of them are great. 

Sorry to say this, stay away from USPS. My late dad was a retired postal worker, I hear him cussing me from above.
