The Corsair II uses gray knobs (not black like most other TenTec rigs) with a round metal insert in the middle. They are about 3/4 inch in diameter. These knobs are used on the front panel of the Corsair II, except for the main tuning knob and the band switch. I have attempted to attach a picture. I am not aware of any other TenTec rigs that use these knobs, but there certainly could be. I am in need of five of them. Any one have any in their junk box, or maybe on a parts rig? Thanks. 73, Ken, W8EK From indians at xsmail.com Sat Aug 9 11:29:58 2025 From: indians at xsmail.com (Petr Ourednik) Date: Sat, 09 Aug 2025 17:29:58 +0200 Subject: [TenTec] Knobs for Corsair II needed Message-ID: <09b4dc29-3211-4bf3-8915-aaa9c1480beb@app.fastmail.com> Ken, To me it looks like Meter Switch Knob from a Ten-Tec 422 Centurion amplifier is same? It is actually listed on eBay with number 266733039091. Try to check it if its what you are looking for. 73 - Petr, OK1RP B: http://ok1rp.blogspot.com From indians at xsmail.com Mon Aug 11 06:35:19 2025 From: indians at xsmail.com (Petr Ourednik) Date: Mon, 11 Aug 2025 12:35:19 +0200 Subject: [TenTec] TT Phoenix pre-orders Message-ID: <058fedaa-fe71-42c9-a6d7-fd3ff1290153@app.fastmail.com> Hi friends, After my last ham radio meeting participation, I received few emails from friends asking if it is worth pre-ordering the Ten-Tec Phoenix 594 with a deposit? I will answer here in public, please. Pre-orders with a deposit, which are limited to a maximum of 100, save about $700 off the list price, have free shipping, group updates, and the ability to slightly influence the final appearance of the radio. A big and respectful thank goes to all these pre-orders, as they significantly help to restart production of the new product after moving to the new factory, please. Can it be used with two antennas for diversity and/or beam steering with the two receiver option? Essentially, is receiver processing set up for phase coherency? Can it be run remotely? A headless version would be the ticket. No need for knobs or display. I am very pleased with all aspects of the TenTec internal antenna matching. Was hoping for an upgraded version to include 6m. Rear panel connectors? Is there a keying loop? Or at least a 'transmit' line out for keying QSK amplifiers? What sort of filtering is in front of the receivers? Thanks. -bob -do not look into LASER with remaining eye!
