[TenTec] Argonaut V squelch problem!

My squelch doesn't work in any mode.
Not that I need it. I just want the whole thing working prior to selling it. I sure don't need a squelch. 
Would be better off as a RF Gain control; which some have converted them to.
Been in contact with the "RadioSmith" guy, in Florida, who's backed up till the middle of March.

Just got my KX3 back from Elecraft. Developed a few issues.
Took from just before Thanksgiving till just a few days ago to get it back!!!
