What is this obsession lately with giving out a name and a QTH to dx
stations who clearly are trying to run the pile-up with signal reports
only? Do you think that the dx is going to make a special effort of
jotting down your state in the log and remember you five years down the
road: "Oh, yeah, it's Joe, he's from *Idaho*!!!"

It used to be bad enough for all those waiting for their turn to listen
to the ego-trips of the lunatics who just had to QSO the same dx for the
tenth time in two months to give him the breaking news that his signal
today is 59+30 (a whole 5 dB better than on Monday).

Might as well read him a few pages from "War and Peace" while you're at
it. It's just a new country for all those waiting.
