OJ1ABOA OH_ant - Mika, OH2FFP will be in charge of the next Finnish Antarctic 
Research Program expedition to Aboa station, Queen Maud Land 
(Antarctica) in December-January. He will operate again as 
OJ1ABOA, and he might be QRV also from nearby Wasa Station of 
Sweden. Around Christmas he will stay for three or fours days at 
Swedish Station Svea.

- 4/12  ECUADOR; HC2/homecall and HC2/SMØCOP 
A Swedish Team from Contest Club SK6M together with local HAMs 
will take part in the CQ WW CW Contest as HD2M on November 27-28, 
2010. Operators will be HC2A, HC2SL, SM7BUA, SM6FKF, SM6LJU, 
SM6MCW and SM5COP. Outside contest special attention will be on

from Raoul Island by the core team of the very successful 
DXpeditions to Norfolk Island in 2007 (VK9DNX) and Willis Island 
in 2008 (VK9DWX), plus a few high experienced operators, will be 
active in November. According to the preliminary schedule, 
thirteen  operators, DJ5IW, DJ9RR, DK1II, DL1MGB, DL3DXX, DL5CW, 
DL5LYM, DL5XL, DL6FBL, DL8LAS, DL8OH, SP5XVY and SV2KBS expect to 
be QRV with seven high power stations on 160-10 metres CW, SSB and

only, field portable either from St Lucia beaches or mountain

- 16/12 MARSHALL ISLANDS; V73 OC-029, OC-087, OC278 
from Majuro (OC-029), Enewetak Atoll (OC-087) and Ujelang Atoll 
(OC-278) by N3QQ (V73QQ and V73RRC) and NL8F (V73CF). The 
operators will travel to Enewetak Atoll (OC-087) where some of the 
equipment has already been 
prepositioned. Activity from OC-087 will take place between 
December 5-16th. Look for some possible 160m operations from 
Enewetak Atoll. 
The duo will activate the uninhabited Ujelang Atoll (OC-278 - an 
IOTA new-one) sometime around December 9-12th, for 2-3 days.

   Nov. 30th-Dec. 1st - Callsigns V73CF and V73QQ from Majuro 
Island (OC-029), in the Ratak Chain. 
   December 2-4th   - Callsigns while traveling to Enewetak Atoll 
are V73CF/mm and V73QQ/mm. 
   December 5-7th   - Callsigns to be used on Enewetak Atoll (OC-
087) are V73CF and V73QQ. 
   December 8-11th  - Callsign to be used on the uninhabited 
Ujelang Atoll (OC-278, a new IOTA) is V73RRC. 
   December 12-16th - Callsigns to be used on Enewetak Atoll (OC-
087) are V73CF and V73QQ.

active. Activity will be focused on Europe, 160-40 meters, 
30/17/12 meters, CW and RTTY using four Elecraft with solid state 
amps with RX antennas. This is a lightweight DXpedition. They will 
try to limit their extra baggage expenses. To achieve this (and 
for efficiency and reliability too) they will mainly use wire

Taiwan is celebrating 100 years Republic of China. The special

special event callsign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 
independence of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It will be aired

The special callsign celebrates the rescue of the 33 miners who 
were trapped in the San Jose mine for 69 days. Look for activity

Two hundred years of Mexican independence and the 100th 
anniversary of the Mexican revolution are celebrated by the Radio

by F5PHW. Since he is there for work, his on air activities will 
be limited, but he will try to operate as much as possible. If he 
lives in a house, Phil intends to be active on all HF bands from 
80-10 meters mainly on CW and RTTY (possibly some PSK31) with very 
little SSB using only 100 watts. His antennas from the house QTH 
will be: 80-40m - Inverted V + HF6VX (GP), 30m - HF6VX, 20-10m - 
HF6VX + Spiderbeam (not sure). However, if he lives in an

conditions can influence significantly this schedule. They are 
aware that landing on SA-097 is extremely difficult and may not be

from West Island by G3SWH and G3RTE. Our activity will be on CW 
only on all bands 80-10 meters. There will be no 160, 6 meters 
or EME activity. Propagation permitting, we plan to have two 
stations on the air for as many hours every day as is possible. 
Our main objective is to work as many European, North American and 
ROTW stations on as many different bands as possible and plan to

Mars SIERRA LEONE; 9L      
Four Dutch radio amateurs will be active for three weeks in March 
2011. PA3A, PA3AN, PA8AD and PD0CAV plan to operate, hopefully as 
9L5MS, on 160-10 metres CW, SSB and RTTY, using three stations 
with amplifers and several beam and vertical antennas. QSL via

from Tarawa Island by SP5EAQ and SP5DRH. Activity will be on all 
bands 160-10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. SP5DRH, will focus 
mainly on 160 meters and 30 meters RTTY, with some 80 meters. 
SP5EAQ is a SSB operator and will operate on the remaining bands. 
They will have two separate stations using Elecraft K3/100 with 
600w amps. Antennas are: 18m high Spiderbeam poles (few 9m long 
poles) and a GP5 antenna by SP7GXP. They will try to operate at 
the same time. SP5EWY, will be their pilot station for this

from Tortola Island. Activity will be on 160-10 meters using CW

from Placentia by WB2REM, W4PGM and KD2JA. During the 2011 CQ WPX 
SSB Contest (March 26-27th), they will use the callsign V31MM. 
Prior to the contest and after the contest, they will be operating 
under their own individual callsigns. QSL direct only to each

Glenn/KD2JA and V31PM via Paul/W4PGM. Operators will be on both CW

a DXpedition. He does mention that he will be on every evening

from Kanton Island by an international team for nine days in mid 
April 2011. Transportation has been arranged, all licenses are 
assigned and the permit is in its final stage of processing. There

Sep - Okt EASTERN KIRIBATI; T32C OC-024 
from Kiritimati (Christmas Island) by the Five Star DXers 
Association of 9M0C, D68C, 3B9C and 3B7C. A very large group of 
experienced operators from 13 different DXCC entities will be 
active as T32C (requested callsign) on all bands and modes, with 
up to 16 stations on the air, using amplifiers along with monoband 
beams and vertical dipole arrays, 24 hours a day, for almost four 
weeks, including four weekends. The primary objective is to give 
as many DXers as possible a first contact with this rare DXCC 
entity and, as a secondary objective, to give as many band-slots 
as possible.
