from Guadalcanal Island by VK4KHZ. Activity will be holiday style 
primarily on 6 meters on a daily basis, subject to favourable 
conditions, but he will also do some activity on the HF bands as 
time permits. He will use a Yaesu FT847 with a 500 watt amp into a

by F6DXE is travelling through Chilean call areas CE7, CE6, CE4, 
CE5 and CE3. He is QRV daily for one hour or so, especially when 
the propagation favours Europe. Look for him on CW (7025 and 14025 
kHz) and SSB (7140, 14205, 21250 and 28450 kHz). QSL via home

- 20/1 HAITI; 4V1 
The Radio Club d'Haiti will activate special callsign 4V1 in 
remembrance of those who lost their lives during the earthquake 
that stroke Haiti on 12 January 2010. Activity will take place

by F6BLP. He will operate mainly CW on 17, 20, 30 and 40 metres.

- 21/1 NORFOLK ISLAND; VK9NA 
by VK3XPD, VK4UH and VK3KH. This is the same group that did a VHF, 
UHF and Microwave DXpedition earlier this year. The group plans 
again to be operational on 50 MHz through to 10 GHz using CW, SSB

- 22/1 CHILE; CE SA-031 and SA-097 IOTA NEW 
from Wollaston Islands (SA-031, IOTA Most Wanted #6) and Diego 
Ramirez Islands (SA-097) by VE3LYC and PA3EXX. The plan is to 
operate for four days from each group. However, weather and sea 
conditions can influence significantly this schedule. They are 
aware that landing on SA-097 is extremely difficult and may not be 
possible within such a limited timeframe. Callsigns and QSL

from Diego Garcia. He plans to operate as much as possible up to 
the last day, with an emphasis on RTTY and the low bands. QSL via

from Zanzibar Island by F6AML. He plans to operate CW (3525, 7025,

by W2CG. Operating time will be limited mostly to his morning and 
early evening hours. Expect him to be QRV on 80-10 metres CW, with

- 26/1 NEW CALEDONIA; FK/DL2NUD and FK/DL9GRE 
Activity on the HF bands will be done by DL9GRE, while DL2NUD will 
be active on 2m, 70cm and 23cm EME. They will also be active from 
Vanuatu (expected) between January 27th and February 2nd. QSL via

from Ambergris Caye (NA-073) on 10-11 January, Caye Caulker (NA-

Activity is to celebrate the 150th anniversary/birthday of the 
Brazilian scientist, inventor and radio pioneer, Roberto Landell

by ex-F5INL. Activity will be on 20/17/15/12/10 meters using

- July  FRENCH POLYNESIA; FO 
by F5PHW. Since he is there for work, his on air activities will 
be limited, but he will try to operate as much as possible. If he 
lives in a house, Phil intends to be active on all HF bands from 
80-10 meters mainly on CW and RTTY (possibly some PSK31) with very 
little SSB using only 100 watts. His antennas from the house QTH 
will be: 80-40m - Inverted V + HF6VX (GP), 30m - HF6VX, 20-10m - 
HF6VX + Spiderbeam (not sure). However, if he lives in an 
apartment the antenna may only be the HF6VX. QSL via F8BPN, by the

- August  BAHRAIN; A92IO 
by EI3IO. Operations will initially focus on the bands 3.5 MHz to 
30 MHz. He also intends to be QRV on 1.8 MHz for the 2010/2011

be battery-only, field portable either from Dominica beaches or

DX-88 and other antennas!" Activity will be on all bands (160-6m) 
and modes but with a concentrating on the lower bands. Operations

from Kiritimati (Christmas Island) by the Five Star DXers 
Association of 9M0C, D68C, 3B9C and 3B7C. A very large group of 
experienced operators from 13 different DXCC entities will be 
active as T32C (requested callsign) on all bands and modes, with 
up to 16 stations on the air, using amplifiers along with monoband 
beams and vertical dipole arrays, 24 hours a day, for almost four 
weeks, including four weekends. The primary objective is to give 
as many DXers as possible a first contact with this rare DXCC 
entity and, as a secondary objective, to give as many band-slots
