QRZ.com. The log is also uploaded to ClubLog. Paul states, "ZD9KN 

log will be uploaded in its entirety to LoTW within 1 year from 

the end of the DXpedition. The information for the QSL will be 

published after the end of the DXpedition. The QSL card is via my 

QSL Manager IZ0UIM or LoTW. The internet connection is not very 

good unfortunately, so there may be delays in response." Paul 

recommends that you check his log before sending a QSL card 

because there are PIRATES using his callsign. There was a report 

of a PIRATE on Sunday morning, August 19th, at 0955z.

by a team of operators from Switerland known as the "Radio 7 

Team". Operators currently mentioned are HB9ACA, HB9BOI, HB9BOU, 

HB9BQP, HB9CYF, HB9HFN, HB9SLO, HB9TNA and HB9TYJ. The pilot 

station will be HB9ICC and the coordination in Mauritius is 

Jacky, 3B8CF. Their goal is to set up three amateur radio 

stations that can be run together on different Amateur Radio 

bands. Mostly one on CW, one on SSB and the third running special 

modes like RTTY and PSK31. They hope to use small 400 watt solid 

state amplifiers for the CW and SSB stations. Activity will be on 

160-6 meters using two 3 element Spiderbeams (20/17/ 15/12/10m), 

verticals for 40/30/20m, a Butternut HF2V for 160/80/40m and a 

Slim Jim for 6 meters. QSL via HB9ACA direct or use the OQRS on 

ClubLog. The logs will be uploaded to LotW within 6 months after 

the DX Operation.

 

16/10 – 25/10  W. KIRIBATI; T3ØPY and T3ØSIX OC-017 

from Tarawa Island by a Brazilian team. Two callsigns will be 

used: T30PY for operations between 160-10m, and T30SIX to be used 

on 6m. It is expected to have 3 stations running simultaneously 

on HF and one on six meters. The following modes will be used: 

CW, SSB and RTTY. EME on six meters may be possible, but not yet 

confirmed. Suggested frequencies are:

by members of the Araucaria DX Group. Operators will be PY2XB, 

PP5XX/PY5CC, HA7RY and AA7JV. The operation will have a strong 

low band focus. There will be a dedicated 160 meter station 

operating on 160 meters from sunset to sunrise. A second station 

will be on 80 and 40 meters at night. During the day they will 

operate two stations on the higher bands and 6 meters based on 

conditions. RTTY will also be supported.  They suggest on their 

Web page to please visit and check their Web site regularly for 

news updates or announcements. Like all things maritime, the 

exact dates of their travel to the rocks will be subject to the 

weather and issues related to the boat. An "Online QSL Request

inverted L for 160m, vertical for 40m, vertical dipole for 30m and

to operate at least SSB and RTTY, I am learning CW so if I am 

feeling able I will do some slow morse, but if no one sends

Cordell Expeditions has announced plans for a DXpedition to 

Clipperton Island. A team of up to 24 operators will be QRV under 

a TX5 callsign TBA for 10 days starting around 1 March. They will 

be active on all bands and modes with up to 8 stations, and will 

use an advanced version of DXA, the satellite-linked system that 

displays near-real-time log data. For the time being the team 

includes KK6EK, DL1MGB, NP4IW, DL3DXX, DJ5IW, SP5XVY and DL8LAS.
