TopBand: Poor conditions

Interting post from W4ZV about the poor propagation. It sure doesn't
feel like Decemeber during a sunspot minimum!

I did notice much of the east coast was enjoying good propagation
to Western Europe last night between 06 and 07Z. Maybe this is
the way it always is, and with most people taking time off for the
holidays, more people were on the band. I am pretty sure I could
hear EA3VY (who was my first European QSO back in 1986) on SSB on
1851. I probably could have pulled him out on CW. This seemed
amazing when the K was reported as 5 on WWV.

Maybe Santa is saving a good opening for Christmas or maybe the
Stew Perry contest? Hope so...

Happy Holidays to all of my fellow brothers who have the "topband"
disease - and wish all the best to you in the new year.
