I must admit I was feeling a bit let down after having missed XZ1N,
A61AJ, and the 5V last week. Well things started picking up this week
with SV9/DJ4TR on the 22nd, 3C5Z and 5X4F on the 28th.
This afternoon 9X4WW announces on 20 meters that he will be on
1827.5 at 02Z. It's 01:40 and I decide to have a quick look at 1827 on
the chance Mark is up early. Heck there's someone CQing, wonder
who it is? Turns out it's ZS8IR! WOW - I call him and bingo he's in the
log at 01:43. He calls several CQ's and no response. Better get this on
the cluster. After basking in the glory of a new one, I decide to listen to
the ZS8 again and he's going split operation.
At 02:05 I hear another CQ just above the ZS8....WOW it's 9X4WW
qsx up one. Heck this is going to be a mess. Mark works several
Europeans and then asks K4?? He gets K4?W for about the next five
minutes when he finally QSL's K4ZW at 02:14.
Two rare ones in the log within 30 mintutes time. Folks it don't get no
better than this. I may need to add a seatbelt to my chair if things get
anymore exciting!!

			73 Ken K4ZW (ex KE9A)

PS - JY9QJ was very strong this evening around 22:30 but he was
unable to copy anyone stateside. Maybe tomorrow night.
