TopBand: power line noise

If you have the exact pole and the noise is modified by hitting the pole,
then there is some seriously flakey hardware.  Call them and tell them
that you are reporting a pole that has arcing in its HV hardware.  That
should get their attention.  Mention nothing about radio noise...if they
ask how you know, tell them you can hear it and that it's loud.  If it's
nearby, try to be there if they send a crew.

This really is a serious problem and the sooner it's fixed, the less
chance that there will be an outage.  Your agenda is to get rid of RF
noise, but theirs is to prevent outages.
