I've never really measured the 1/4-wave self-resonant freq of my towers. 
My assumption is only based on experience and ON4UN's chart on page 9-43
of his excellent book, "Antennas and Techniques for Low-band DXing".

Bob Kile, KG7D, mentioned that he grid-dips his tower to find 1/4-wave
resonance.  Maybe he can fill us in on how he couples the grid-dipper to
a grounded tower.  How 'bout it, Bob?
