TopBand: Strange 160M noise this AM

Did anyone else in NE, or elsewhere, notice a background pulsing hiss
this AM? It seemed to peak West from here and was most prevalent at
1840KHz and pretty much gone by 1825. Almost sounded like an AM B'cast
spur since it had a repetitive beat to it  but it lasted over an hour.
