TopBand: NEW Digest, Propagation Forecast, etc.

        Now there is a digested version of Topband!  The digest may be
especially useful to those of you who wish to minimize the number of 
E-mail messges appearing in your in-box daily.  Those of you with
corporate E-mail accounts may find that the digested version will help
take you off the radar screen of your local system administrator!
Majordomo accumulates individual messages and then sends one message either
daily at 0445 UTC or whenever the content reaches 40K (whichever occurs
first).  If more than 40K in messages occurs, the digest will send multiple
digests.  

        To subscribe, follow the same procedure as for the main list, but
use topband-digest-request@contesting.com as the address for your subscribe
message.  You should still post your messages to topband@contesting.com, 
just as you did before.  I'll try to work on some additions to the FAQ
page but hopefully this is enough to get you started.  Remember that you
should unsubscribe from the main list if you want the digested version since
there is no need to be on both distributions.

        I encourage all USA subscribers who have not yet expressed opinions
on the intermodal interference issue (contest SSB QRM, etc) to please do
so to your ARRL Division Directors.  It's time to stop complaining and
start DOING something constructive if we want to see a CW subband enacted
by the FCC on 160.
