TopBand: 3C0DX Postponed

Julio, EA5XX, sadly reports the 3C0DXpedition to Annobon Island 
has been postponed until October 11, 1997.  With just three days
to go before the planned operation was to take place the 
Equatorial Guinea authorities said 11 of the 13 operators were
unable to go.  When The Daily DX spoke to Santos Rodriguez, 
EA4AK, at the Dayton Hamvention Saturday he was unaware of the 
postponement of the 3C0DXpedition.  Materials, equipment and 
operators airline tickets were all on hand and ready.  The Union 
de Radioaficionados Espanoles (URE) staff members have been 
working very hard and will continue to do so.  Due to the 
unexpected delays a new target date of October 11th has been set 
which may actually be a better time for good low band conditions.
