TopBand: VK9LX

Spoke to Dan (K8RF), one of the two VK9LX ops,  on 20 m phone tonite abt 
their first try on 160M.  They apparently had had severe rain storms that 
 hampered their rx on top band but still managed to work many USA from 
1822 between 09 and 13Z.

Apparently they have put out short beverages to help in that regard but 
the poor wx was improving as well.  I suggested they move up since there 
was SSB QRM today below their freq.  Dan said they would be on again tmw 
AM (USA) tx between 1824-25, QSX up.

Suspect they will do well on top band from that QTH considering how loud 
they were today - and the absence of other Pacific signals.
