Hello everybody,
after a long time with not much activity on topband I'm back again, not to late
I think, hi...My first week of holiday this year started with a few very nice
openings to the west and northwest over the pole.
So a couple of good signals where received during the last days on 160.
I play with a new 160m antenna, what I had installed with a couple of friends
during the last weeks.
The antenna is a insolated single vertical 35m high with linear loading on the
base. At the present time the radial system is not complete yet, but during my
first days of working with the vertical my feeling is very good.
So, after 4 days without any good "ears" I put today my first beverage (500m in
direction NW). The NE and 2-wire east/west will follow tomorrow.
I found out, that the receiving on the vertical is not bad, but heard a lot of
stations calling me, what I could not copy well.
So, if you had try to call me in the last days, and I dont came back, pse try it
again. Also try to call me with low power, I am very interesting to test my
receiving situation. Location here is allmost very quiet. No neighbors, no
"electric noise" and all this stuff.
I'm also interesting to get some comparison reports about my signal, to see if
the new vertical running well.
So, hope to here you during this week, will be also in the CQWW 160m single
band.

73 and tnx in advance
