TopBand: Excellent VK to USA this morning - Boring Report

There were some excellent signals from VK3 land this morning on
the band. I worked a couple of stations on SSB who were only
running 100 watts. The VK SSB "net" is on 1838, which can cause
some QRM with CW stations down around 1834 or 1835. I received
an SWL report via packet from VK3EW who said I was S9 (and VE7BS
was S9+20).

UN5J was on the band, and was being called by several stations (maybe
was even worked?), but his signal wasn't making it above the noise
at my QTH. The best signal I have heard so far was the first morning
around 1340Z (6 days ago now). He wasn't QRV that late this time.

Vlad is almost at the intersection of JT and BY in case you are
interested. Hopefully he will be very active over the next 4 months
were most everyone should have a shot at him.

The most fun moment came when VK3QI was worked first by W7CAT, then by
K7RAT. I guess it could be said that the rat was chashing the cat this
time around.

Still very noisy in the evenings, and nothing heard out of Europe last
night - although some of the east coast signals sounded pretty good.
