Does anyone have any experience which may enable me to answer the
following?

1) How do I calculate the strength of noise fields re-radiated from my
Tx antenna, in order to determine how far my Rx antenna has to be away?

2) Does anyone know the safety implications of splitting my lightning
conductor up with a spark gap, and what sort of gap should be used?
(Reason - I have a fibreglass tower and want to isolate it from ground
during Rx to kill the Topband resonance, and thus reduce the noise
field. I suspect the answer to 1) above will tell me that I don't have
enough space in my yard!)

Since the above could be quite complex, please reply direct, and I will
summarise.
