Not on 160-!!!!   This myth about lower - lowest angle being better for DX is
"propagated" from higher bands - it is mostly true on 20m and up, but not on
40 and below. The lower you get on frequency, the HIGHER prevailing angles of
propagation get!!   Get off this stuff on low angle. ANTENNA HAS TO FIT
prevailing MODES OF PROPAGATION!!!!  

Put up your behemoth 4 square, and put up "lousy" inverted Vee at 60 ft. Do
some switching and you will be surprised!!!!
Looks like most people are reading books and using software instead of
getting their hands dirty and playing with real stuff. (Mr. Belrose one of
them.) What happened to experimentation?   All the factors will show up there.
Stronger signal wins regardless of what the "books" say.
