TopBand: E30GA on SSB? No way!

        To be honest, I had just about given up on these guys with
the poor conditions recently.  I thought the same true for today
when I listened at sunset to the guys up north calling JY8ZW
and other EU's...never heard a trace!  After dinner I listened on
75 SSB and heard Max operating with a fair signal here but some QRN.
Around 0110 he disappeared which I assumed was due to a lack of callers.
Went down on 160 and was surprised to heard I2NFW on 1840 SSB with a 59
signal.  He and a group of others were waiting for Max and I thought
there might be a chance.  Sure enough, he showed up (44 under the 
noise) and I managed to QSO after IK1GPG at 0119.  Never thought
it would be possible but that's 160!  Never say die and never
give up!
