It was interesting to see the e-mail from Steve HA0DU asking whether Mark
EL2WW has been active - over the last six weeks, Mark has been regularly
heard in VK6 and was last worked on 19/4/99 at 2231Z.

At this time of year, there is often poor skip between Europe and West
Africa - giving stations in my part of the world a chance to work stations
in the upper part of Africa that are impossible to work during the height of
the 160m DX season, due to the excellent skip from there to Europe and the
ensuing large pile-ups.

My feeling is that Mark has been very active, but there has often been poor
skip between Europe and West Africa.

Steve, VK6VZ
