Topband: Announcing Caribbean Tour 99

Ronald PA3EWP, Henk PA3GCV, Peter PA4EA, Martin PA4WM, Dennis PA7FM and Rob
PA5ET are proud to anounce the Caribbean Tour 1999 which will go to the
islands of St.Maarten (PJ5), St.Martin (FS), Nevis (V4) and Anguilla (VP2E).
The call signs will be the home call followed by the prefix with exception
of Nevis which will be a V47xx call sign which will be assigned at arrival.
The team objectives for this year are:
· Focus on the Low bands and the WARC bands for Europe.
· 3 HF stations and combined HF/6 meter station will be aired on the modes
CW,SSB and RTTY.
· SSTV and satellite operations only when the occasions allows it.
· Have an updated Website which contains all relevant information related to
this tour and will be kept up to date on a daily basis to serve the DX
community. During the Tour there will be constant exchange of information
with the crew on tour in the Caribbean to ensure the latest details and logs
will be available to the DX community. The Tour 1999 is already on-line at

The schedule will be as follows:
· 5 - 11 August St.Maarten & St.Martin (Mobile)
· 11 - 18 August Nevis
· 18 - 25 August Anguilla
The Equipment
· 2 x FT990, IC706MII, FT847
· Antennas: 2x R7000+ 10-80, 1x R7000 10-40, various dipoles, 3 el. wirebeam
15 meter, 3 el. wirebeam 12 meter, 5 el. 6 meter
· RTTY decoders: DXP38, PTC
· Computers: 4* laptop, CT version 9.39, WF1B version 4.3
· Towers and aux: Alu tower for 6 meter beam (+/- 4 meters long), 3 fibre
towers 10m. long
