Here's a post about verticals from K4SQR. Since many of you have
requested seeing this info, I am forwarding to the reflector.
Remember to post responses to Gary at gary.reichow@unisys.com
or to the reflector and not to me. TU & 73, Bill W4ZV
Gary, KN0V:
VE1JF's station, operated by Dale, VE7SV set a new Single Op record on
80m with Jim's Force 12 's 180V /Comtek ACB-80 4-Square last Nov. in CQ
WW CW. (for SSB, he adjusts a shorting bar ?)
Additionally, VE7AYR has recently installed the same combination (81
years young at that !) as above with more than usual asistance from Force
12, VE1JF and Comtek Systems. "Baldy" had non-amateurs installing the
entire array so we all had to "start from the beginning".
A recent letter from Baldy describes the 80m DX he has worked and how
happy he is with the array.
Now, a W0 is installing Gladiator TL-80/Comtek 4-Square 12 feet above
ground,; A W4 has bought 4x of the TL-160's and a YL W1 is in the initial
stages of a TL-160/Comtek ACB-160 4-Square. (When buying 2 or more,
Gladiator discounts each vertical $25.)
I trust this helps.

Jim Miller, K4SQR
