Topband: Slopers, Inverted-Us, etc

One trick to alter the resonance of an antenna like a sloper or  an end fed
inverted -U recommended by the late G5XB would be to put a varible
capacitor between the remote end and ground.

This would alter the resonance and could be useful for those without real
estate!! 

With an end fed inverted-U you could alter the current point of the antenna
which could be interesting if you put a tuner at the feed point and a
varible capacitor at the far end !!

Just an idea to experiment with - High voltage caps recommended !!
