The VK6's were northwest, as were signals from VK3. ZL beacons 
shifted to west from a normal southwest, and all signals dropped 
rapidly as dawn approached.

At the first hint of light on the east horizon, VK6VZ dropped like a 
rock and the ZL beacons vanished.

The four square was the dominant antenna, beamed northwest. The 
300 foot high dipole was down about two S units, and with 
conditions fair to VK6 and poor to the more southern path areas 
like VK3, 2 and ZL.

It was a North path day, with a band that slammed shut just at 
sunrise from the South East.
