Topbanders,

After much roof climbing, leaping tall buildings in a single bound (roof top
to roof top) the double sized G5RV is up in suburban Buenos Aires. It loads
well (a bad sign if history is repeating itself) and the noise level at the
new apartment is only S3 in the evening and S2 in the hour before sunrise.
In the centre of the city it was S8 24 hours a day.

No signals heard last night, listening constantly from local sunset (21:48z)
to sunrise (06:48z). Many CQ's on 1831 and 1828 failed to get results.

The power level is only 400 watts. The antenna is 80 metres above the
street, and both sides slope down to about 35 metres above street level at
each end. Total antenna length is 202 feet, with 66 feet of twinlead
feeding it.

I will try at my local SS and SR, plus SR for Europe for the next few days
and see what happens.
