I used a rotating flag on 160m for over a year before a gust of wind
took it down. I had it on a pushup mast secured to the house but the
rotor made it too top heavy and I didn't use guys. Next time I will.

The flag is a sensitive antenna. If it is near a reasonant 160m ant
it will not perform well. I had to use an open relay in the shuntfeed
tuner box to take the matching unit out of the picture during rx.

I could rotate the flag to null out some noise and still hear the sig
I was interested in. It worked.

Congrats to N6FF for getting 200 cfmd in Calif. on topband!
