Topband: Stew Perry Contest Elmer?

I am new to 160m and this will be first contest. I only have paper logs and 
the antenna will be a temporary Inverted-L (13x40m) or an endfed 1/2 with 
wire thrown over the top of a tree in an inverted vee endfed wire 
configuration. I was planning on operating QRP. I use straight key and 
operate under 20wpm. Station will be single op.

I was hoping to get someone to help Elmer me thru this first contest.
Please reply direct.
