Topband: k9ay loop in a different plain

Maybe this sounds crazy, but I am toying with the idea of a k9ay loop
which would have the following dimensions per side in the diamond
configuration; except mine won't be a diamond it would be more of a
square instead.

Here's the scenario------------- I have a deck outside the shack door
on the 2nd story level of a 2 1/2 story home. The deck is 22' square.
Instead of erecting the loop or square in the vertical plain, can I lay
it on its side so that it is parallel to the ground? In otherwords,
trying to please and or apease the Wife, as she hates
wires...................... I want to somehow follow the contour of the
decks shape by running the antenna alongside the railing of the deck 22'
per side or so and feed it so that it will have a Europe orientation.
If one were to draw a square on a sheet of paper and say that the top
right hand point was the corner facing Europe, would this type of
antenna work? I would appreciate an answer either directly to me or if
it is of pertinent information to the reflector then I guess all could
benefit from the info. Stranger antennas have worked for many when
supposedly it wasn't suppose to work. My concern is with the 9:1
transformer and or using coax as the antenna and feeding it with RG8X to
the shack. It will also have the availability of the C&S Engineering
dual 160/80 meter Preamp that is used on the other 3 RX antennas.

Please let me know and if anyone has the ability to model this type of
antenna lying on its side, I would be interested in your findings.
Thanks in advance Dennis
