Topband: XZ0A Noise

Although I haven't heard them on topband yet, I am beginning to see a 
pattern.  I had an exciting (for me) QSO with them on 80 LP yesterday just at 
my sunset.  I have listened hard in the morning hearing very few get through 
(presumably short path).  Same goes for 30 & 40 mtrs.  Looks like our best 
chances are long path opportunities in the sunset times??  The 
noise/QRN/whatever must be north of them?
