Topband: EA8CV

On 30 Jan 2000 at 0522-0530Z on 1833.5 KHz, there was a station 
signing EA8CV.  His signal was 589 here near Seattle, WA.  He was 
spotted on the DX Packet Cluster by K7MI in Reno, NV, and quite
a few stations worked him. Was this a slim?  I have never heard EA8
this strong in Washington state!
