(de W4ZV...the following is from the VK9WI pilots...I couldn't have
said it better about Nick!)
STARTING TO QRT.
(This bulletin released 21/5/00 05:30 UTC - 3:30pm Willis time)
=============================================================
Low-bands - Nick did an all-nighter last night till sunrise AM and then
slept till midday. He's been a tower of strength. (de W4ZV...this AM
Nick was on 80 and said the Battle Creek antenna is now down.)
=============================================================
Complete Log - This will be available in due course. Information will be
posted on http://www.qsl.net/vk9wi/1logs.htm
=============================================================
Dinner Party Tonight - The MET Buro guys are putting on a dinner party for
us tonight so spirits will be high :-) (Willis is an Australian manned WX
station)
=============================================================
De-rig - Packing going well, although moving a ton of gear with 2 people is
not what you call fun!
=============================================================
We hope this DXpedition has given you a new country on at least one band.
The group is considering the activation of other VK9 islands in the future
and generous support of this DXpedition will help those plans come to
fruition.
73 from the pilots, Adam VK4CP and Bill G0VDE
