Topband: beverages in woods?

Practical question:

What is the best way to run beverages through woods? I was considering using 
electric fence insulators nailed to trees, keeping the height at 6-7' so I 
don't choke anybody walking around trying to shoot a squirrel or something. 
Any advice would be appreciated - I'm a beverage novice...
