Topband: Wkg split on 160m in CQWW

Gents,

Given the EU QRM problems we had on topband in CQ WW SSB, I'm thinking about 
trying to listen split for Stateside QSOs next year ... question is, where in 
the band should I listen?  We had big sigs from 1.825 up to 1.86, one or two 
reprobates as low as 1.811 (yes really!) and some above 1.87.  Has anyone on 
the reflector used this technique in CQWW already and did it work out?
