Paul raises an interesting point.
I have had two very heated "discussions" with SSB stations on 1835 kHz.
In an attempt to move them higher in the band, they questioned the
existance of a DX window. They argued that such a window could not
exist because of the constant CQing by loud US and Canadian stations in
the so-called "DX window" (1830-1835 kHz). They also noted that when DX
did respond to these stations, they were worked, and then, the US or
Canadian station in question held the frequency.
Difficult to counter these arguments, under the circumstances.
