Luckily most people love to understand how does something works and how to
make it working better, others are mostly interested in the amateur
"traffic", so spending their time to maximize opportunities (time at radio)
rather than optimizing their setup and possibly giving up to some dBs, a
power that can make or not the difference, it depends.
After all, what's worked could be nothing if compared to what could have
been worked, or worked some years earlier, or before of someone else....
Life is too short .

PS BTW, in your home antenna I didn't notice any TOP loading wire getting
closer than 20 ft to the ground and no vertical sections shorter than 60
ft..
