Topband: the magic 8 ?

hello reflectees !
I found it to be true in the last weeks,that on days with an A-index of 8 we
get good propagation on 160.The K seems to be of inferior importance in that 
case.numbers from 0 to 3 made no difference as far as i observed ( only in 
the "8"-case ).
Funny enough today  no northeast coast came thru.A very sharp peak about 15
min b4 sunrise brought N6FF with 579.
N7DD,K7CA,N7JW ran strong sigs and W6PBI frm NV rolled into EU.
seems that aluminum grows best on desert soil.
