The patent Rick refers to is US 3,891,934. Another useful reference is by
Ulrich Rohde in Ham Radio for November, 1979, p. 34. Norton's article in RF
Design (May, 1976) describes his patented designs, some used in the Anzac
line. By the way, the Anzac AM-123 amplifier Rick mentions probably would
not be suitable for 160M. Its frequency range is 5-500 MHz, with 3.5 dB NF.
Better would be the AM-109, 0.5-60MHz, with about +50 dBM 3rd order
intercept. The NF is about 4.5 dB at 160M, however, which might limit its
usefulness for pennant or loop application.
