Topband: HC2/UA4WAE

Hello,

worked Otto, HC2/UA4WAE, today on 160 as my Nr 249 in 5 years of topband
activity. 

Just 2 comments. Otto asked me to put this on the reflector. 
Otto has now a 27m high Vertical and 6 radials so far. I was not sure if
this are elevated ore ground radials. He is transmitting with a TS440
and about 150 watt.
He optimized the antenne for 1834.0 and will be every morning after 0400
there and try with EU. He said that he often hears loud EU signals and
called them without success. This morning he called 35 minutes a loud
(S9++) DF2 station on 1834.5 but he did not copy..

So one big question to the permanent CQ callers on 1834.5 Keep this
frequency clear for the next days. Otto will be cqing and try to get
more EU in the log. But with this hopless CQ CQ there it is unpossible
to copy such weak signal in the clicks.
I think to work with Otto, is a real challenge. Hope more will be
able to do.
