Hi guys, an horizontal dipole have a radiation resistance of about 73 ohm. I heard someone that is matching it to a 50 ohm coax, by simply connecting a piece of coax to the central points of the dipole, so in parallel to it. It sounds strange to me. How can you match a resistive load to another resistive load value by the use of ONE reactive component only? Bye, Marco. ik2xsl@amsat.org
