Quite possible.  The "helicopter base" would have been Mount Pleasant
Airport (a.k.a. RAF Mount Pleasant) where the Bristows Helicopters operation
was based.  There is an amateur radio club there.  QSL's or rather lack of
them for there are another story altogether and not one for this list.
