Tom casts doubt on the value of converting from unbalanced
to balanced feedline in real world situations. My suggestion:
while you still have those trenches open, install *conduit*.
Probably some larger PVC would be fine. Take the trouble
to plumb it with very gradual bends at each end, and try to
work out how to keep water from entering, if possible. Then
place your initial coax plus a 'pull rope' in the conduit for later
cabling changes. (Try above ground, removable "U's" to keep
