G'day all

Thanks to all those took part in this year's South Pacific 160m test.

Stations from VK2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, plus ZL2 and ZL3, were worked from
here. Conditions into North America were fair, but unfortunately there was
no propagation this year from Europe into VK6 (despite almost two hours of
fruitless calling and listening at VK6VZ, in the period before Perth sunrise).

When there is propagation to North America after sunset on 160m from VK6,
there is very rarely decent (often any) propagation into Europe in the
period before VK6 sunrise. Unfortunately, this weekend was no different.

Signals were heard/worked in VK6 from S. Pac stalwarts W8JI, K9DX, W7AWA
and K6SE - thanks, blokes. Also active in the contest were three
Indonesian stations - YB0ZBC, YB0DPO and YB0JAX (who had a booming signal).

Vy 73,

Steve, VK6VZ
