Topband: KD9SV vs. ICE Preamps?

Eric, et. al.:

I have a 5000 watt day, 1000 watt night AM 930 station about 1/2 mile
northeast of me.
In my opinion, one needs a high-pass filter before any preamp to do the job
correctly with this venue.  I am using a design from the 1985 ARRL handbook,
page 30-22.  It does the job!
I have the schematic scanned as a ---.jpg image if anyone wants a copy.
