Hi all

I did built last summer a rotatable flag (W7IUV construction with
amplifier). It is located about half a wave lenth from my 160 four square.
The height of centre is 9 meters (30ft) from ground. My target was to damp
QRN in summer time.
Reveiving results: It has a relatively sharp backside minimum about 2
S-units (FT 1000MP). It has never been better than the four square. QRN
damping is minimal.
On 80 meter band it is good in receiving sometimes better than the 80 meter
four square (built inside 160 meter four square).
What to do? Could it be better at lower height for QRN-killing? Any
possibility to beat four square at any distance or height of it?

73 and Happy New Year

PS: Stew Perry was a nice experience this year again.
