Had fun in the Stew and noticed that some regular contesters still have key
clicks.

In the Eu there were some very noticeable key clicks, also some very clean
signals.
Usa stations could easily be heard and worked within 1 Khz.. of ON5UN. and
John was getting very respectable reports from the Usa. so you dont have to have
clicks to get a reply. My Yaesu Mk 5 was purchased and my first report of key
clicks was received on the first day of use. Yaesu help and assistance with
the problem was not what i wanted to here. " We know there is a problem, where
working on it, was the reply " It went back in the cardboard box for five
months until Tom W8JI came up with a solution within a few days of getting his
hands on one. Years have gone by, still waiting for the Yaesu fix. Most people
would welcome a report if all is not well, so that action to cure the problem
can be taken. It is a pity the major box makers show no interest in sorting the
problems. While writing this EA3JE is on 1830 and im listening on 1820, will
have to tune lower to find a clear place. In the UK the band edge is 1815 so
cant go much lower.

Happy new year to all
