Topband: 160m at solar max

   Many years ago W8LRL gave a presentation at a PVRC meeting about 160m DXing.  He had a histogram showing the number of NEW
countries he worked in each calendar month over the years.  The histogram was pretty flat across the 12 months.

   Wally's message was that DX shows up all the time on 160m, not just in the winter months.  So turn on the radio, listen around,
and call CQ.  Don't worry about the calendar date.

   And, by extension, don't worry about the solar cycle.  While the mix and volumes may vary, it seems to me that there is almost
always something of interest.
