Don't stop at 'reliable'. My Belden RG-11 foam's velocity factor is closer
to .7 than their specified .8.
Also, years ago I had cause to measure the loss on 12,000 feet of their
RG-11. At 300 MHz it measured just exactly double the specified loss.
This is where I started to form my opinion that specifications do not lie -
but liars do specifiy.

Good point Ron. Always good to measure the cables unless it is a *reliable*
manufacturer.
All of the RG8X I've measured has been .7 to .75 vf.
Foamed cables can range from anything over .66 up to .9 or over depending on
the density of foam.
