Dave Kennedy N4SU passed away Monday
evening after failing health the past several months.
Dave was one of the truly great DX'ers and was at
the top of DXCC Honor Roll for many years. Dave
became interested in 160 in the 1980's and reached
DXCC 295 and WAZ there before health problems
prevented him from operating.

 From Dave's page on QRZ.com:

"63 years on the air starting with W9TWC in Indy from
1935 to 1941, then, after WW2, W8BRA in Ohio from
1946 to 1966, then W9KSY and W9DL in northern Illinois
1966 until 1978, then, finally, N4SU in North Carolina from
1978 to 1998. In recent years, my primary interest has
been DXing on 160 meters, the LAST DX frontier. DXing
on the other HF bands is like shooting fish in a barrel.

73 to all DXers, Dave Kennedy N4SU"

Dave is survived by his wife Sonja and one
daughter. Sonja has requested that anyone wishing
to make a memorial in his name contribute to:

Hospice of Stokes County
PO Box 10
Danbury, NC 271016

Services for Dave will be held Monday at 1:30 PM at
the Salisbury National Cemetery (directions below).

If any of you would like to write a short note
in memory of Dave, please reply directly to me. I will
collate everything and give Sonja a copy on Monday.

Rest in peace Dave...you will be missed by
all of us.

                                 73, Bill W4ZV
