Tom is correct.  My comments were geared only to cw without so stating.  The 
Sherwood 600 "roofing filter" makes the r4c acceptable.  I have little 
experience with ssb so simply neglected the issue.  I also agree with Tom in 
that the Orion is a far superior receiver in every respect.  It is also true 
that this ham will not be working inside my Orion but I can fix my B/C line.
